Your Tea Master

Daniel J. Johnson

Certified Tea Master
M.A.O.M., L.Ac.

Biography:

Daniel was raised in a small rural town in western Pennsylvania. His father, an avid sportsman and environmentalist, sparked his interests in native wisdom and natural living.  These simple, yet profound, lessons drawn from nature piqued Daniel’s interest in natural health.   Daniel attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, receiving his Bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology.  His studies focused on health psychology and the mind-body connection.  Having been exposed to Asian philosophy, natural awareness, and the science of the mind, Daniel was attracted to the field of Oriental Medicine.

Attending the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin, Texas, Daniel completed an extensive four-year program in Acupuncture, Herbology, Western Medicine, and Asian Bodywork Therapy.  He has studied in China at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In addition, Daniel has received certification and advanced training in three forms of Japanese Medicine.  While studying Chinese medicine, Daniel was deeply influenced by the study of Tai Chi Chuan and internal kung fu.  This quiet system of meditation, movement, and healing has provided Daniel with a daily practice that brings strength and focus to his life.  Passionate about herbal medicine and natural healing, Daniel has expanded his practice to include the Art of Tea.  In the fall of 2010, Daniel earned the title Certified Tea Master.

The Way of Tea has revealed itself to Daniel through inspiration.  A love for Tea and the community it creates inspired him to move to Virginia Beach in 2009 to start a Tea company with his friends.  All Senses Artistry, LLC opened a retail store at the Five Point Community Farmers Market in Norfolk.

Daniel is committed to transforming his community through holistic education and a healthy cup of tea.  He maintains a clinical practice, herbal pharmacy, and tea company in Virginia Beach.
